Mal Cifer Douglas

In a time where education is becoming more inaccessible because of the current OSAP cuts, increased tuition, hidden course fees and the inflation of the GTA. As a person of colour, I am tired of BIPOC communities being blamed for the Government’s problems.
We need more support. We need to feel in charge of our education, whether we go into Business, Liberal Arts, or STEM. We shouldn’t worry about going into extreme debt or starving ourselves because all of our money goes to school, rent, and taxes.
What we need is a moment to breathe; to lift the weight off of our chests. If you lend me your vote for Director of Education and Equity, I will fight for you. I will fight those added textbook fees for classes you already paid for. I will fight so that your education doesn’t cost you to miss out on your life. I will fight for support systems that can actually keep your money in your pockets. I will fight for equality so that everyone can feel safe here and continue the education we deserve. Vote for Mal.
