Board Vacancies – Student Appointment Process

Appointment Details

As approved by the Board at the May 2025 BOD meeting, the Chief Returning Officer has initiated the appointment process to fill these vacancies.

• As per By-law 5, section 3(3), the Board may appoint a qualified student to serve as Director.
• Appointment must be made within 60 days of the vacancy (by June 30, 2025).
• A two-thirds majority vote at a duly called Board meeting is required.

These are not Executive roles. The next general election is scheduled for November 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a current member of the Student Association.
• Must be enrolled in the relevant Educational Centre:
  • Preparatory & Liberal Studies Centre OR
  • Hospitality and Culinary Arts Centre
• Must not be employed by the Student Association.
