Pratham Tanwar

I am a Business Administration Finance graduate from George Brown College and an international student from India. Moving to Canada to pursue my education was a defining step for me. It meant stepping into a completely new environment, building a life from scratch, and learning to adapt quickly both academically and personally. Receiving the entrance scholarship when I began my studies made that journey even more meaningful and reinforced my motivation to make the most of the opportunities here.
I have always been drawn to finance because I enjoy understanding how decisions shape outcomes over time. Whether it is analyzing investments, thinking through long term strategy, or simply discussing how businesses grow and evolve, I find the process of breaking down complex ideas and connecting them to real world outcomes genuinely exciting.
At the same time, some of the most valuable parts of my experience at George Brown have happened outside the classroom. The business program has built a close knit and event driven community where students regularly connect through networking events, discussions, and shared experiences. Those moments of interaction often become the most memorable and meaningful parts of student life.
Personally, I am someone who enjoys exploring ideas beyond my field as well. I am curious about global issues, storytelling, and the ways culture and perspective shape how people see the world.
Being part of the George Brown community has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the supportive and engaged environment that makes it unique.
