Jun An Lew (Toby Lew)

Hello, George Brown College! My name is Toby Lew. I am a 2nd-Year student in the General Arts and Science Program, and I am a candidate for the Director of Education and Equity position. In my time as a Peer Tutor and Peer Leader for the college, I observed how many students strive to succeed despite the obstacles they encounter in their academic journeys. This has made me passionate about advocating for students’ education, and I firmly believe that education is a source of freedom for many students. As a student body, we deserve to have our voice heard when it comes to our education. We should have a say in how our education is charted. We should be heard when we have concerns about our education. We deserve the best education that the college has to offer, and no one can tell us otherwise. The students of George Brown are the ones who make up the college. It is our right as students to take charge of our education, and we have to be heard. No more unheard worries. No more silence from us. As your Director, I will make your whispers become a shout. I believe that I am the best candidate for the Director of Education and Equity position.
When elected, my voice is your voice. I serve to help all students succeed, and I hope to have your support in this election.
