Valya Mertarchyan
My name is Valya Mertarchyan (She/Her). I am a proud mother of two kids. As a parent, it is my priority to raise good citizens of our country and our Globe.
I migrated with my family to Canada in 2011. Currently, I am studying in a Denturism program and recently graduated from a postgraduate certificate program in digital media marketing at GBC. I have a background in health sciences. I am a dentist who graduated from Yerevan Medical State University. As soon as I graduated, I did an internship in general dentistry in Armenia and then went to Russia to study prosthodontics. In 2014 I successfully passed NBDE PART1 AND 2 Exams and became a certified dentist by the American Dental Association.
The main humanistic trait I possess is empathy. This quality drives me to stay in the healthcare field and help people. Working in three different countries has taught me the value of diversity. As a professional and as a person, I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds. I believe in learning. It helps to self-evaluate and self-improve. I believe in a positive mindset; it helps to bring hope to the people surrounding me.
